About us

Labaik Ya Zahra (sa) shares a vision for the woman of today to be educated and independent. The woman of today is, sophisticated, courageous, smart and intelligent, yet, her rights are constantly under threat from oppression, illiteracy, abuse and poverty.  She has been denied her rights  for so long under  the ignorance of todays society.   In turn, she is in search of a divine law that  would represent her human rights, is there such a divine law?  Is there someone she can turn to in the form of a role model, who she can look up to for support on these issues?
The issues of a woman, who has been faced with the challenges set by this cruel world and has emerged victorious. Indeed, there is we have only to look into the books history and the of course the Holy Quran.

The Quran, the source of all divine law is unquestionably  mankinds  book of Guidance. Revealed to our beloved Prophet Mohammad (saw).  In addition there is Lady Fatima Zahra (sa); Daughter of our Prophet.
The perfect Daughter, the perfect Wife, the perfect Mother, the perfect Woman.
The Leader of all Women in Heaven and Earth.
Lady Fatima Zahra (sa), is the only authority and under whose leadership we can change the future to a brighter one and  march to glory and success, Insha’Allah.

Prophet Mohammad’s (S.A.W) message to the people 1400 years ago  was one of peace, unity and most importantly to educate ignorant mankind and take them out of Jahilliya.  Allah (S.W.T) states in many Ayats of the Holy Quran in reference to the Holy Prophet(S.A.W); ”I have sent you the best example for mankind”.
The perfect example for women is Lady Fatima Zahra (sa).  The Holy Prophet (saw) treated His Daughter with such love and dignity which is a lesson for all parents.  In return Lady Fatima Zahra (sa) showed Her Father so much love that He gave Her the title “Umm e Abiha “ (Mother of Father).  This is one example that relates the importance of Her role in the view of  Almighty Allah and the Holy Prophet (saw).
As He was the perfect role model for mankind, He had instilled these very characteristics of perfection  in to his beloved Ahl Ul Bayt, His Fatima (sa), His Ali (as), His Hassan (as), His Hussain (as).

The holy Quran revealed  “Surah Noor”  in the Honour of the Holy Prophet (saw) and his chosen Ahl ul Bayt, as the Words flow;
“God is the light of the heavens and the earth. A metaphor for His light is a niche in which there is a lamp placed in a glass. The glass is like a shining star which is lit from a blessed olive tree that is neither eastern nor western.
It is Light upon Light. God guides to His light whomsoever He wishes. God uses Various metaphors. He has the Knowledge of all things (24.35).
(This niche) is in the houses (of Ahl ul Bayt)  that God has declared to be highly respected and his Name be mentioned therein in glory in the morning and evening (24.36).

This Surah shows the status of the Ahl Ul Bayt in the Sight of Allah (swt).

Such was the love and affection held by The Prophet of Allah Almighty for his Ahl ul Bayt that before His sad Departure from this world He revealed “The Hadith Thaqlayn”, in which He (saw) stressed the importance of the two things He was leaving for our salvation.

One being The Holy Quran and the other being His chosen Ahl Ul Bayt.
They would need to be followed with a true balance like that of a Mezaan(scales), each of equal importance, each requiring the same level of devotion, each side would require the same amount to balance the Mezaan( scales), metaphorically speaking, neither less nor more (taking care not to lag too far behind or not to try to go ahead of them) as in both cases mankind would be at a loss.
Have we endeavoured to follow this all important Hadith?
If we had, we would not find ourselves in such a crippled society filled with so much hate, tyranny, corruption, torture and ignorance.
However, there is still hope if one is willing to make changes to their life. This society can be saved if we pay more attention to the woman of today, who is far more superior in Islam than tradition and culture will allow her to be.
A woman gives birth to new life, She nurtures and loves her child, She struggles to discipline her child. A mothers lap is the first school  for a child, where they truly begin the learning process. A woman can teach this society so much if it would allow her to do so, but she so desperately lacks the spiritual education to deal with her circumstances, her given situations  which she feels are her destiny.
The problem we face is that tradition and culture are being forced onto islam and this is creating confusion.  We must break down the barriers to educate the woman, so that she may break free of the fetters.
It is time for change, it is time for revolution, it is time to for us wake.

Let us sisters unite holding the banner of Lady Fatima Zahra (sa), and with one voice  proclaim: “Labaik Ya Zahra“ (sa).

Let Lady Fatima Zahra (sa) help us to voice our opinions, She (sa) is here for us, are we here for Her?  YES!  “ Labaik, Labaik, Labaik Ya Zahra “ (sa).
